Congradulations President Obama!

just finished watching the inauguration day festivities on facebook/cnn and I have to say i am so glad to be living in this day and age! It is an amazing time to be able to have access to the technology to be able to watch all of that live streaming on the internet and share it with your friends all over the country.

for the first time i am happy and proud to be american, and excited for the future. now we will see what the next year will bring.

we can do it! it is time for real change!

Enjoy the Full Moon tonight!

My girlfriend pointed me to an article today on yahoo entitled Saturday Night Special: Biggest full Moon of 2009. about tonights full moon. It happens to be the full moon of the year where the moon is at perigee, or its closest point in orbit to the earth. So it affects our tides and other things most strongly. (in July the moon will be at apogee, or its farthest point in orbit from the Earth.)

That also means that tonights full moon will appear 14 percent bigger. this doesn't sound like a lot until you actually look at the difference.

That looks fairly significant to me. and considering the craziness that occurs out in nightclub land and throughout the world on a full moon ( I know this has never been scientifically proven, but I KNOW it is the way it works) tonights full moon should really do a number on people. So enjoy yourself out there and be aware that if you find yourself feeling more emotional right now this is probably at least one of the several astrological reasons that I can find for it.

There are a couple of other pages I found at www.space.com like this Article about what makes our world go "round or moon mechanics, that really struck me as being facinating. this is informationt that I think everyone should know. It really makes you gain a little perspective.

My advice? Reach out and love that special someone a little extra the next couple of days. They probably need it, and I now they will thank you for it. Tell them I said so.

TriMet ticket machine crash

Well, I had to post these here for a start and then see if I could get them to someone at the Portland Mercury who would appreciate the irony...

There has been a whole rash of problems with the TriMet ticket machines in the last year and as a frequent trimet rider I was highly amused when my girlfriend brought the crashed ticket machine to my attention.

It certainly explains a lot. no wonder why TriMet cant seem to get the machines to work properly and seem to be kind of defensive about the issues even.

Maybe if they tried a different operating system they would have less problems. in my experience Macintosh OS X has much less problems with being left running for days at a time. The last time i tried to do that with a windows machine, it just kept crashing.

But that is just another symptom of a broken system. If you try to run an infrastructure on a flawed syistem, its going to keep crashing. I am willing to bet on it.

a new year - a new beginning

Back in the saddle again!

So i am back online friends and readers!, I was given an older mac by y parents and have now managed to set it up enough that i can post this entry and check my email, etc...

I still have alot of work to do downloading software and transferring files and harddreives and photos but i think i can finally at least do the minimum of online communication and work that is neccessary for my continued happyness! YAY! and Mac OSX (even just jaguar)looks Beautiful on my 40 inch monitor! heh heh [let the geek envy commence]

but, at any rate look for more regular postings from me and better online communication.
(once i get through the 700+ emails backed up on my gmail account)

New directions

SO I have had all kinds of new directions open up in front of me. Things I can do to take me to new places both metaphorically and not. All kinds of ideas keep running through my head, ways to take hold of the joystick of my life and head off into battle with demons both past and future. I have time on my hands now, although sometimes it feels like time is just passing me by while I try to heal from my latest flare up from Fibromyalgia, but I have so many new idea's and things I can do to enrich my life and the lives of the loved ones around me. I am excited by these new opportunities, and overwhelmed by the sheer number of possibilities and choices. so I just plunge onwards and upwards, and try not to speculate too much on where it is going to lead me and where I will end up. As long as I am happy and my loved ones are happy things will fall into place where they belong. Right? isn't that the way it s supposed to work?

on another note.. I am getting back into the swing of the online thing and hoping to keep my posts coming... stay tuned dear reader, stay tuned.

playing a lot more poker again at Poker Stars probably going to be doing tons of that while my GF is away for a few days this week. i need to get my poker chops back... do you play poker online? if so where is your favorite place.. and did the laws about gambling make it more difficult to play for real money? or did you find ways around that... looking for input and ideas here i guess... cheers

Heh, when i saw this picture, i could not stop laughing... its just too true... I wish the bible belt could understand why this is so funny and so terrifying at the same time... do you personally know someone who has had way more than their fair share of children? someone who has done their part PLUS in propagating the species and is not really qualified? or of the best genetic stock to be doing such a disservice to our planet?.. New House, New Internet...

I finally have internet connection at my new house! yay, so i can slowlyt begin to get everything back in order with my online presence and all of the projects i was working on before the big move started this turmoil.... my new website for this apartment
allmadhere.com will be up and running in a few weeks and hopefully so will my web tv show and a few other endeavors...

Time to begin again....

wow...

it has been a long time since I updated this blog, I am sure no one is reading anymore, why would they? there has been no new material in quite sometime, so my dear readers, if you happen to be reading this, I apologize, life caught up with me, and my chronic pain, FMS,head cold that turned into an ear and sinus infection and a pesky lump that suddenly decided to grow under my right nipple to the size of a half dollar in two months have kept me quite busy. (surgery to remove and biopsy the lump is scheduled on the 3oth, I will let you all know what happens, and keep your fingers crossed for me) I also helped my Friend and Ex, Desta, open her second tattoo and piercing shop, Adorn East by doing some design work for her ad's and flyers and making phone calls and such. So needless to say I have been busy. and i really have no other excuses... I will try to not let this lapse become a habit...

more tomorrow, i may post a couple of movie reviews and an outline of do's and dont's for couples with a partner in chronic pain (henceforth refered to as CWPCP) heh heh i like random acronyms with the scent of uselessness....

I now go to try to fall asleep to the movie "28 weeks later"

Porn and politics! - The Euro way

(edited out because I found out more about the posts topic and wshed i had not posted about it and i can do that, its my blog!)

Ok i am getting back into the mode soon... pictures from my vegas trip will be posted soon... none that i took unfortunately because our camera got lost in the car before we got their and i didn't take any... but some pics of our trip have been kindly given to me so i will post some highlights soon, and also get you all back up to date... been adjusting to some new medication and some increas3ed dosages that have been making me kind of Nucking Futs for the last couple of weeks, but i have some deep insight and some random comments and references to pass onto you all, so look for a post by tomorrow... it was a nice vacation but i have milked it long enough :)
